S. M. Sivakumar
Director & Head of Group H R D Department
Dr. Sivakumar, a postgraduate in Engineering and a Doctorate in Finance (XLRI) with over 30 years of corporate experience oversees the human resources function of the group. With a mission of staffing for learning excellence, the Group HRD Department oversees the full spectrum of HR functions-manpower planning, talent sourcing, performance management, training and development and separation for all schools and the corporate head office.
Group Head of Operations
Jan leads and guides Athena Operations to achieve sustainable growth and development by ensuring efficiency, productivity and profitability. As a member of the Academic Board, Jan is responsible for the overall efficiency and performance of the group and to ensure all operations support an environment that optimize teaching and learning impact for each child. In consultation with the directors, senior managers and school leadership he develops strategic plans and works with the Principals to translate these into operational projects. Jan has a lifelong commitment towards education and people development, and has more than 25 years of experience in the education sector, more than half of this time in management positions ranging from junior to senior management level.
Head of Finance
Mr. Sharma is the Group Head of Financial for all Athena schools as well as the head of acquisitions for potential investments. Maintaining existing and new relationships with banks and investors for financial facility structuring and equity structuring. Ensuring daily accounts for all schools are complete by the accounts department. Ensuring timely release of payroll by working closely with the HR team. He corresponds with various other departments, discussing company plans. He also reports to the board for fee collection/fraud prevention/ revenue leakage.
Chief Investment Officer
Kiran leads the M&A and Business development at Athena Education. He is an MBA graduate of AIX-Marseille University in France, worked for international organization ITER, as financial analyst managing Euros 6 billion budgets. He has extensive experience in working with corporates in France, Australia, Germany, India and UAE. He has been associated with the group since 2015 primarily focusing on corporate finance- M&A, debt equity structuring and business advisory.
Amir Al Nooerei
Head – Legal Affairs & Government Relations
Mr. Nooerei is the Group Head of legal affairs and government relations at Athena Head office for all employees and staff including all portfolio schools of Athena. He conducts the legal work for Human Relations department for Athena and all of its portfolio schools. Also functions in the business acquisition and development team of Athena, looking into potential investments and finding solutions for business. Mr. Amir also has his bachelors in business from a University in the UAE. He has worked at Athena for the last 4 years with prior experience working for RTA for 8 years as well as working for Bil Jafala real estate for over 4 years.
Head Of Communications
Sultan has a background in investment management and auditing, working at KPMG for over two years. With a zeal for corporate communications, relationship management, and client satisfaction he joined Athena Education in August of 2018. A strategic thinker who delivers on a client’s external and internal objectives, he is the main channel of all internal and external communications at Athena Education.
Leejo Thomas George
Head - Transport
Leejo is the Group Head of Transportation for Athena Education and is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the transportation operations across all Athena schools. He is responsible for directing activities related to deploying, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles. Plan, organize and manage the work of transport staff members. Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, contracts, and government regulations. Promote safer working by conducting audits, attending safety trainings and meeting with individual staff members. Negotiate and authorize contracts with vehicles and materials suppliers.
Head – Information Systems & Digital Technology
Mr. Chaudhary is the Group Head of Information technology at Athena Education. He is responsible for implementation and maintenance of all IT related activities across Athena schools. He is responsible for enterprise wide system implementation and implementation training, hardware maintenance including TV systems, printers, access points, security of network. ERP implementation for automated processes, attendance, fee collection, expense account management, and revenue booking. He also provides IT platforms to various departments as well as security IT software and hardware across Athena education.
K. N. K Das
Head - Facilities Management
Mr. Das is the Group Head of Facility and Maintenance for all Athena schools and nurseries. He is responsible for procurement of teaching resources, furniture, printing material, and stationary. He coordinate building and premises maintenance work, cleaning, and security monitoring. He is in charge of overall maintenance of school premises and facilities.
